Erys Moongem

Erys closed the door to her sister's room and noticed the tiefling moving through the common area. "Hey!" She called, not entirely sure of the druid's name. "Can we talk real quick? I just want to thank you for so brilliantly blocking that choke point. I'm really impressed by your abilities. We didn't really get a chance to talk, I don't know if you remember, but I was there when you first shifted back to… this form? Is this your regular form?"

Rowan

Rowan stops, she looks around a bit at the call, still not really used to people addressing her "Oh, hi! Thanks, I…I'm still figuring it out I guess. But yeah, this…this is me." She nervously runs her hands through her hair, pulling a few strands that have gotten tangled in her antlers. "I do remember you though. I saw you when I was running away from those….things. They were really scary. I'm sorry if I frightened you, I didn't think I wouldn't be able to talk."

Erys Moongem

Erys smiles warmly, trying to make clear that she wasn't worried at all. "You didn't scare me. I just wish I'd been able to do a better job of comforting you. You seem to have taken to it, though." She watches the tiefling, still as fascinated by the horns as when she first saw them. "You've been a bit… quiet, too. How are you feeling about taking this job with us? Phandalin might just end up being the last good place to depart, if you were thinking about it. But… I think a band like ours is a perfect place to master whatever it is you're working towards."

Rowan

"It's okay. I'm not used to being around so many people. It's been just me for a while. I knew Gundren but even he and I would only see each other once or twice a season. I do hope he's okay. Do you think he's okay? I would never just leave without knowing he's alright."

Erys Moongem

Erys laughs with confidence in a not especially noble fashion. "Roxie is gonna be just fine. We're gonna break into that fucking castle and find he's beaten his way halfway to safety already, laughing his ass off." Erys blinks, letting a beat pass. "Not that we shouldn't go. He is in danger. But good! Good. I'm really glad you're with us. I'll do everything I can to make sure nothing happens to you, though…" Erys laughs again, quieter this time. "It doesn't exactly seem like you need that assurance quite so much."

Rowan

"No, I mean, it's strange being an animal. You're yourself but you're also the beast, right? I feel like my mind changes and it's like I've always been that way. I don't have to think about running on four legs or biting or using my claws." She looks at her hands, almost surprised not to see that they are normal with no claws or hooves "It's all just natural in the moment. I can feel myself covered in fur and the power in my body and the swiftness of how fast I can run." Rowan pauses for a moment, realizing once again she's talking very fast and looks at Erys smiling. I…I do like being with the group though, it does keep me grounded to what I really am. It's great being an animal, but I can't stay that way forever."

Erys Moongem

Erys' breath quickens just a tad at the description of the feeling of the transformation. This fascinating tiefling would require extensive investigation. "That is amazing. Surely the Gods must be with you in… in the most intimate way, for that…" Another glance up at the girl's horns. No, that'd have to wait. Another beat. "Are you… " "Spoken for?" She'd said it a million times. Why hesitate with the tiefling? Maybe something about her youth, maybe something about her naivety. No, it just wasn't… time. "I'd better go get my room in order and rest up. Tomorrow's gonna be a busy day."

Rowan

"Oh…okay." Rowan hadn't thought of her experience in those terms before. She walked away to ponder how the Gods may be with her. She'd be stewing on that for much of the rest of the evening.
